Under the direction of the Project Archivist for the Andy Warhol Photography Collection, organize and perform a range of duties in support of the digitization and cataloging of the Cantor’s archive of Andy Warhol contact sheets and negatives. The collection documents Warhol’s social and professional activities from the mid 1970s through his death in 1987, chronicling life at Studio 54 and other nightclubs, the Factory at 380 Broadway, the downtown art world in New York City, and trips to Europe and China, among others. Some frequently depicted subjects include Liza Minnelli, Diana Vreeland, Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat, Halston, and Bianca Jagger.
The Institute for Diversity in the Arts (IDA) is a program in the arts and humanities that involves students in the study of culture, identity and diversity through artistic expression. Our mission is to create, support, and advance powerful, collaborative, and transformative arts practice and arts leadership. IDA is a dynamic organization, generating creative opportunities to explore the intersection of arts and social justice through our programs, events, and classes. IDA’s student leadership program is the Student Fellows program. Fellows are at the heart of the IDA community, developing cohorts of interest that serve as catalysts for creativity for the Stanford arts and larger communities.
Provide administrative and operational support to Institute for Diversity in the Arts (IDA) working under general supervision. This position reports to the Executive Director and the Associate Director for IDA.
