The Arts Initiative and SiCa hope to integrate bold arts programming with the University's long-term educational mission. Through our various grant opportunities, we seek to fund a variety of projects and programs across the university, inspiring cross-disciplinary collaboration and a culture of creativity and innovation at Stanford and beyond. Below are various on-going projects sponsored by SiCa.
- The Annual International Symposium on Music and the Brain
Begun in 2006, the SiCa Center for Arts, Science and Technology’s Symposium on Music and the Brain has become an internationally renown and respected interdisciplinary meeting of the world’s finest scholars, researchers and practitioners exploring the neuroscience of music. - Asian-American Art, California Confluences and Crosscurrents
A study and interpretation of visual art production by individuals of Asian ancestry in the United States from the mid-19th century to 1965 - Artist Show & Tell Series

Research into an upper limb motion instrument providing real-time audio feedback of upper limb activities - Wet Ink Music Composition Collective
