The Off The Farm program (OTF) aims to make the arts accessible to all Stanford students. It fosters memorable and formative arts experiences, exposes students to Bay Area culture and creation in an engaging way, and inspires a deeper audience appreciation of the arts. OTF subsidizes residential-based trips for large numbers of students (15+) to attend off-campus arts events, such as performances, plays, concerts, exhibitions or galleries. Residential student staff or Resident Fellows may request funding from Off The Farm for a proposed event of their design.

The Arts Initiative supports the Student Arts Grants program offered by the Undergraduate Advising and Research (UAR) office. UAR Arts Grants allow undergraduates in any major to pursue independent research and creative projects in the arts beyond the classroom. Several types of grants are available to support original, independent creation in all media as well as research projects in the arts.

The ASSU Arts Grant Program seeks to provide monetary support to student artists, enabling them to create diverse art to benefit the Stanford community. The program strives to foster a presence of art across campus, bringing artwork to students where they live, eat, study, and relax. The Arts Initiative contributes to the ASSU Arts Grant Program, and provides staff advising to the students who make up the Arts Grant Board.
