Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous February 2020

February 13 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Location: Stanford University, Li Ka Shing Building, Room LK120 - Map Link

The LASERs are a national program of evening gatherings that bring artists and scientists together for informal presentations and conversation with an audience. This event will present artists, scientists, thinkers, inventors, and scholars who are working on paradigm shifts. The schedule also allows time for the audience to socialize and encourages people in the audience to briefly introduce their own work. Chaired by Piero Scaruffi.

SPEAKERS:

  • Krishna Shenoy (Stanford Neuroscience Inst) on “Brain-machine Interfaces”
  • Christine Marie (Shadow Theater Artist) on “Creating (antiquated) Augmented Reality”
  • Terry Berlier (Kinetic Artist, Associate Professor at Stanford) on “I am what I am not yet”
  • Lars Steinmetz (Stanford Genome Technology Center) on “Emerging Technologies to Prevent Disease”

PARKING: Parking is available in the structure on the corner of Campus Drive West and Roth Way. (Stanford Map)
