Sudan Archives: An Evening of Storytelling and Song

May 22 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Location: ZOOM: https://bit.ly/3sYfYw2

Join the Stanford Concert Network and Stanford Storytelling Project for an evening of stories and song with violinist and vocalist, Sudan Archives.  Sudan writes, plays, and produces her own music. Drawing inspiration from Sudanese fiddlers, she is a self-taught violinist, and her unique songs fold in elements of R&B, and experimental electronic music. Sudan Archives has been praised by the New York Times, Vogue, Pitchfork, Grammy, The New Yorker, BBC Radio, and NPR. Athena her debut LP won the Best R&B Album Libera Award from A2IM, the American Association of Independent Music in 2020 (other nominees in this category included FKA twigs, Blood Orange, Jamila Woods, and Durand Jones & the Indications)
