Join the Stanford Arts Institute at Oshman Hall in the McMurtry Building on October 19th for the first event in The Makers Series. The series, which pairs artists and creators with Stanford professors, will launch with an evening discussion of art, neuroscience and the creative process.
David Byrne (artist/musician) and Mala Gaonkar (investor and technologist), will join Stanford professors Anthony Wagner (Psychology and Neuroscience), and Charles Kronengold (Music) to discuss Byrne and Goankar’s new artwork, "The Institute Presents: NEUROSOCIETY". The Institute Presents: NEUROSOCIETY is an 80-minute immersive theater performance, where you will be guided through a series of experiences created in collaboration with working neuroscience labs. The installation will take place at PACE Art + Technology in Menlo Park from October 27, 2016 - March 31, 2017. Join us in Oshman for an engaging evening discussing the creative experience, theater, music, and the mind.
