Webcam lets you follow the action at McMurtry construction site
Whether you’re curious to see how construction in the Arts District is coming along, excited about working in the McMurtry Building when it opens in 2015 or just nostalgic for your childhood Erector set, LBRE has a website for you.
The website of the Department of Land, Buildings & Real Estate includes views from two cameras at the McMurtry Building construction site, plus a panoramic view and a live stream of the work. An interactive archive calendar also lets you select any date and time to see what happened on the construction site that day.
The McMurtry Building is going up at 355 Roth Way, between the Cantor Arts Center and Parking Structure 1.
When completed in spring 2015, the McMurtry Building will be the new home for the Department of Art and Art History. It will serve as an interdisciplinary hub for the arts at Stanford and further the ongoing development of the Arts District at the entrance to campus. The building will be a cornerstone in Stanford’s initiative to enhance and expand the role the arts play throughout campus.
