Creative Futures

Devising new futures through creative collaboration

About

“Without new visions, we don’t know what to build, only what to knock down.”

- Robin D.G. Kelley

What happens when artists and Stanford faculty come together to imagine and rethink the purpose of arts and culture, the lives of artists, and the role of arts and culture in advancing democracy, equity, and human well-being?

Through the Creative Futures Fellowship, these artists and faculty will engage with these questions through the lenses of AI, climate change, social inequality, and evolving systems of knowledge and governance. They will ask how the arts and culture sector can both reflect society and actively shape its transformation, ensuring that cultural ecosystems remain resilient, relevant, and responsive to the needs of the future.

Fellowships are by nomination only through members of our national advisors.
