In this vibrant realm, our spirits aligned.

You have pomegranate trees in your backyard, well so do I. Your family can’t afford to live in the Bay Area, well neither can mine…You’re just like me
Oil on canvas
This piece emerged from a desire to merge figurative and abstract forms. (there are some flaws in the .jpg, if needed I can retake pictures)
2015
Acrylic on Canvas
“David” is a 3D bust loosely based on Michelangelo’s piece of the same name. Inspired by the music video of “Money for Nothing” by Dire Straits.
Blender 3D Render
I made this piece as an exploration of how cows are perceived in different cultures, and society’s relationship to animals as a whole.
Mixed Media
This piece is a self-portrait that puts emphasis on gaze and light to convey a subject that is emerging from the shadows.
Oil Paint on Canvas
I spent 26 days backpacking through Death Valley. When water is scarce, life harder yet more simple, what matters most becomes evident.

This photography series depicts the four indigenous Khmer women at Stanford, invisibility, and the consequent strong community we formed.
Photography Series
Our limbs perform so many tasks yet we rarely take a moment to recognize the inner workings that make these movements possible.
2019
Acrylic tube, yarn, metal hardware, wood, epoxy resin
This is a portrait of a cat whom I love and cherish.
This drawing shows the harsh lines of a cityscape being consumed by organic forms, suggesting that, try as we might, we cannot overpower nature.
Ink on Paper
This work was featured at a solo show with New Image Art in West Hollywood. You are welcome to share any of the work on my Instagram (L.SongWu)
